Ban Xia, the processed tuber of Pinellia ternata, is a foundational herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) used primarily to transform phlegm and harmonize the Stomach. Raw Ban Xia is toxic and must be thoroughly processed (typically with ginger or alum) before internal use. It is known for its ability to:
