Ju Hong 桔红, derived from the outer red peel of Citrus reticulata cultivars, is a specialized citrus peel used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Unlike Chen Pi (regular aged tangerine peel), Ju Hong retains more intense aromatic oils and is particularly valued for resolving stubborn phlegm in the lungs.
