He Shou Wu 何首乌(炙)-, or "Black-haired Mr. He", is the processed root of Polygonum multiflorum, revered in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as a premier longevity tonic. The steaming process with black soybean juice transforms its properties, making it gentler and more nourishing. Traditionally, it is believed to:
